2. Describe the application before naming a model
Start with where the lighting will be installed and what the viewer should see. A shelf run, hotel cove, cabinet, reception line and decorative feature can require different optics, profiles, access and control arrangements. Include a plan, elevation, marked-up photo or simple sketch when available.
Avoid sending only a product photo or catalogue family name. Those references may not identify the exact width, CCT, power, connector, coating or cut configuration required for the project.
